A&L Canada Laboratories Inc. is an approved laboratory by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to test potato viruses (PVA, PVM, PVS, PVX, PVY, PLRV, PotLV and PMTV) by ELISA; potato viruses S, X, Y, A and PLRV by reverse-transcription PCR; potato spindle tuber viroid (PSTVd); and bacterial ring rot (BRR) by ELISA and IMF under national seed potato certification program. We provide a full disease diagnostic service of seed potatoes including nuclear stock, cuttings, plants, tubers and clones. Our scientists and technicians have rich experience in immunology, molecular biology, plant pathology, virology and plant disease diagnostics.
In addition to potato disease diagnostics, A&L Canada Laboratories Inc. offers complete pest diagnosis and services for the detection of plant pathogens including fungi, bacteria, viruses, and nematodes in association with other plant tissues, soils, composts and water. In addition to the pathogens listed, we are able to provide diagnostic service using many different technologies for our customers to meet their rigorous testing requirements for many crops. A&L testing services works closely with each customer, from researchers to diagnosticians and growers both in the greenhouse and field, to provide their results in the most cost effective and rapid way while maintaining customer confidentiality.
